On Sunday June 13, 2010 the 2004 and 2008 Archbishop Molloy Catholic High School Hockey League championship teams will skate in a charity hockey game at the World Ice Arena in Flushing, NY. The 2004 team will reunite six years after winning Molloy its first hockey championship to face the last championship team in the school’s short but highly successful program. Over 30 members from both teams will don the Blue and White on what is sure to be an exciting and memorable evening.
All proceeds from the game will be donated to Meggie’s Fund based out of Floral Park, NY. Meggie was a perfectly healthy 6-year old until July 2009 when she was diagnosed with Henoch-Schonlein Purpura, an inflammation of the blood vessels in the skin, joints, intestines and kidneys. After spending the summer in and out of the hospital, Meggie’s parents were told she needs a kidney transplant because both kidneys have failed. Meggie’s fund was established to help aide the costs of the medications post-transplant.
Tickets are on sale now! Doors are at 6:00pm and the puck drops at 6:30… Tickets will also be sold at the door.
